[edit] Toronto

Fermentations inc.

Another Brew On Premises place. Nice, knowledgeable staff.
They stock some bottles, caps, corks, dry yeast (SafAle, SafLager and Lalvin wine yeasts). I've not tried to buy ingredients from them.
They have been recommended as a quick place to stop and grab beer stuff if you're on a Metropass.

Draught works

I was told they were hard to find, but carried keg eq locally. I can't find them. Please let me know if you find them.

Soda Centre and Home Brewer's Retail

4180 Kingston Road, Unit 12 (actually around the corner on Overture Rd)
416-284-0007
Tues-Fri 10-6, Saturday 9-2
Carries kits (Munton, Festa), equipment, grains, hops, yeast, etc, and say they can order in anything else you need. Has been around a long time and seems to be the canonical spot for experienced homebrewers.

[edit] Etobicoke

The Brew Factory -- 416-255-1001 Google ref

I've not done business with them, but shaunpierre from The Bar Towel said "The owners name is Dave and he is a really nice guy."
Update: he is a really nice guy, but it's a Brew-on-Premises operation with not a lot for the home brewer.

Update: He will sell you grain, hops, and Cooper's dry yeast

[edit] Oakville

Ein Stein -- 905 825 2337 Google ref

They are a brew on site beer & wine place. North service Rd, at 4th line.
Stock Grains and Malts. Dry yeast. (I presume hops, but did not check).
They do NOT stock equipment, but do know someone who can get keg bits.

Better Bitters -- Google ref

Better Bitters
I have not checked them out, except I drove by and saw they did exist.
I just talked to them on the phone. They are a local brewery and a brew your own store. Their beer is NickleBrook available at the LCBO.
They have 3 liquid yeasts, Ale, Lager, and Pilsner.
They don't stock Wyeast. They'll sell their wort for $25 / 5Gal pail.
Nice sounding guy on the phone, named John.

Lakeshore Brew cellar

T-F 11-8, S 10-4
Brew on site, or they sell coopers kits.
They stock Ale yeast.

[edit] Brampton

The Wine and Beer Factory

Grain, hops, yeast, kegging, and other supplies. Haven't been there yet.

Good selection of hops, but can sometimes be a little old. They don't package them properly. Look for orange discoloration. Probably the only brew shop in the GTA to sell liquid yeast.

[edit] Burlington

Clasic Fire

They supply the CO2 to Ein Stein and will fill your bottles.

[edit] Hamilton

[edit] Fergus

Gilbertson And Page

They malt barly, and sell by the $30 / 25 Kg bag http://www.gilbertsonandpage.com/

Call ahead and make arrangements. They are fine with small orders but are not setup as a walk in retail store.

[edit] Goodwood

Richters Herbs

Source of hop plants and other brewing herbs, if you want to grow your own. See http://www.richters.com/ for details.

[edit] Stouffville

Wine and Beer Creations

5402 Main St. Friendly fellow, and he carries Festa kits.

[edit] Vaughan

Magnotta / Festa Brew

Magnotta sells packaged wort under the Festa brand name. You get a box with 23 litres of wort and a packet of yeast, all ready to dump into a fermenter and pitch, once you figure out how to get the lid off the wort bag (sanitize it first, then pry hard, the lid's going swimming). Very good beer. Note the box weights over 23kg! They have other locations as well. Also brewing supplies, wine, and commercial beer under their Magnotta label. See also http://www.magnotta.com/FestaBrew/ for more details.

[edit] Buffalo

I'm told that It's Worth The Drive To Buffalo, to do some cross-border shopping at Niagara Tradition Homebrew, with stops at Flying Bison Brewing and Premier Gourmet. Just be careful about how much you can bring back across the border, there being such a richness of good stuff you can't get in Toronto.

[edit] Online

http://stores.ebay.com/Tom-Hargrave-Sales

These guys have the best price on pin-lock kegs I've seen. Their other prices seem OK too.

This is an online store in Pickering On

[edit] Associations

CABA

Homebrewers association, national but events are in Toronto. See http://www.homebrewers.ca/ for details. Good people with whom to swap beer and advice.

Bodensatz

Forum and how-to articles for beer enthusiasts, locally based, see http://www.bodensatz.com/ for more.

The Bar Towel

See http://www.bartowel.com/ for news and tasting notes on local breweries and pubs.

Members of Barleyment

At http://barleyment.wort.ca/ and described as Canada's Virtual Homebrew Club, has forum and very active mailing list. Ottawa-centric but the GTA is certainly represented.

[edit] Other

There are a lot of home-wine-making chain stores around the GTA. Most have beer kits as a sideline, and have carboys, airlocks, and other basics too. The above would mostly be more-than-the-basics locations.

[edit] Parts

-There are two food grade silicone sealants available, one called SU5005 and the other is ASI #502 both look interesting.
